After I assembled this list of types of thinking, writing and design work I've done for clients, I had second thoughts about putting it on this site. In the end, I put it here just because it's true.
For a fact, having all this diverse experience has never gotten in the way of a client project: even the simplest, quickest project.
To
the contrary, this experience is always hanging around in my cluttered
head trying to apply itself in some new and useful way.
Who
loses?
There's probably a better heading for this list of types of projects I've done professionally. Maybe it's "competencies"? Or "areas of service"? If you've got a better idea, please let me know.

The reigning matriarch of Licketyville doesn't stop by the Today Cafe very often. Only when she has a craving for a Green Ginger Scone; this is the only place in town that makes 'em. Madge Licket is what you might call a Category of One. A smart guy named Joe Calloway wrote a book about how to put your business in a category all by itself. A good thing.
We like to think that the Today Cafe is a Category of One, at least in the Green Ginger Scone Category. But then we like to think a lot of things that may not be 100% Verifiable Fact.
But back to why Madge Licket is in a category all by herself. One reason is she owns 80% of the real estate within the Licketyville city limits. Then there's the Ranch, which still has the old apple barn her one-armed great grandpa built. Another reason is that queens are always Categories of One. It's in the Rules.~ ~ The Proprietor
